Do you have experience in programming? Do you want to contribute to the Python Club? If so, then you should consider joining our team! We have teaching instructor jobs open, as well as management and organizational jobs!

TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESCRIPTION

General Teaching Description:

For every course, there are either 3 to 4 teenage instructors or 1 adult instructor along with 1 to 2 teenage teaching assistants. The group of teenage instructors follow a teaching cycle where each instructor teachers 2 to 3 times within an 8 week course. A curriculum for all courses has been established, so materials for most classes are already prepared and do not need to be created. Zoom is used for class meetings as well as demo lesson meetings. Instructors also attend demo lessons meetings were their mock-present their lesson to other instructors. We use Google Classroom to post class recordings, presentations, and homework. Instructors are paid $80 for being a teaching instructor in a course.


Individual Teaching Responsibilities:

  1. Must be prepared for demo lessons when it is their turn to teach.

  2. Must come to demo lessons on time and classes at least 5 to 10 minutes earlier.

  3. Must be able to teach and interact with students in breakout rooms.

  4. Must be able to post homework for the weeks that they teach in Google Classroom.

  5. Must be able to answer students’ questions and concerns in Google Classroom.

  6. Must be able to grade all submitted homeworks for the weeks they taught.

  7. Must be able to communicate well with other instructors.
